Decorative Fair Offers Winter Warmth

You are warmly invited to attend the Winter edition of The Decorative Fair, which opens Tuesday 23rd January at midday and runs until January 28th. The venue is Evolution London, Battersea Park, London SW11.

A beacon of brightness to cheer avid design lovers midwinter, The Decorative Fair in Battersea Park is London’s longest-running and largest premier antiques, design and art fair. Since 1985 it has been a favourite event for the interior design trade attending from the UK and worldwide to find fabulous decoration for private and commercial projects.

The Fair is also renowned amongst collectors, connoisseurs and private buyers with a curious eye and a love of distinctive interiors who come to discover the unusual, the useful and the beautiful. Exhibitors display their stock with flair and imagination to inspire the visitor. They offer affordable decorative pre-loved design pieces priced from under £50 alongside the finest examples of unusual and formal antiques and art.

FOYER DISPLAY – Pictalab x Nicolò Castellini Baldissera PPP Project
The Fair is excited to announce the Foyer display will be presented by Pictalab of Milan, who will be offering an exclusive UK preview at Battersea of their latest collaboration with leading Italian interior designer, Nicolò Castellini Baldissera. The PPP Project is a collection of hand decorated wallpapers inspired by the work of Nicolo’s grandfather, the renowned architect Piero Portaluppi. The Decorative Fair worked with Pictalab to create three stunning hand-painted papers for the Fair’s 2024 imagery. Come and see the range on show in the Foyer.

FOCUS ON TEXTILES
The Winter Fair has a focus on textiles, with a wide variety of exhibitors at the Fair offering everything from contemporary art weavings to antique toile de jouy, vintage Swedish rugs to palampore panels and suzanis. Upstairs on the Mezzanine is LARTA the London Antique Rug & Textile Art Fair, with more than 15 specialist dealers in woven art dating from ancient to early 20th century.

Three times a year The Decorative Fair brings together an exciting collection of around 130 specialist dealers offering fine and decorative antiques, 20th century design, textiles and objects dating from c1700 to the 1970s, along with works of art of all kinds and periods – paintings, prints, sculpture, posters, maps, watercolours and drawings – from classical to contemporary.  Visitors will also find personal accessories such as period jewellery, watches, couture designs and handbags; specialist dealers in tribal art and material culture; a wide variety of antique and vintage ceramics, glass, silver and tableware; garden items from seating to statuary; objets vertu; natural history items; folk art; Asian art, and interestingly decorative scientific instruments!

DIARY DATES 2024

The Spring Fair will be held from 7th-12th May, and the Autumn Fair from 1st-6th October 2024.
