Fratelli Barbini—The Mirror Specialists

Fratelli Barbini has been working on the production of Venetian mirrors for over 50 years.

Founded in 1962 by the sons of Angelo Pacifico Barbini, who had been the owner of from 1945 to 1962, the company is currently owned by Guido Barbini.

While the Barbini family have worked on Murano glass production, it is the creation of glass mirrors that they have come to specialize in over the years with many exquisite designs proving the result.

In fact, during the 17th century, the glass master Girolamo Barbini, along with other Murano glass masters, contributed to the foundation of the first mirror factory in Paris. The mirrors designed and created were meant to be displayed in the then new Palace of Versailles, château of Louis XIV. During World War I, however, the production of Venetian mirrors stopped and was taken from the Barbini family.

Thanks to this rediscovery, the Barbini family had the chance to create stylish models, ancient reproductions and new contemporary creations.

Now, Fratelli Barbini works with famous international designers to furnish villas, apartments, hotels and casinos, such as the Wynn and the Bellagio Casinos in Las Vegas, USA, as well as presidential palaces such as the Kremlin Palace. Among the most famous clients includes Gianni Versace, Philippe Starck, Nori Vaccari Starck, Boris Yeltsin, Ivana Trump and Jeff Koons.

Fratelli Barbini production prides itself on style and accuracy with all mirrors allowing for customization by the client.
