Blue Diamonds

Exceedingly rare, blue diamonds remain one of nature’s greatest phenomena. Forming at extreme depths reaching 660 km or more, four times deeper than most diamonds, blue diamonds are amongst the rarest gems on Earth. Their lack of mineral inclusions has made these diamonds difficult to research and understand. It is said that blue diamonds owe their colour to the element boron, held in the floors of ancient sunken
oceanic tectonic plates, deep into the Earth’s mantle, where these blue diamonds form. Today only a handful of places on Earth have been shown to hold blue diamonds.

The Bleu Royla, an exceptional coloured diamond and diamond ring, features a Bancy vivid blue pear brilliant-cut diamond of 17.61 carats, pear brilliant-cut diamond of 3.12 carats and pear modified brilliant-cut diamond of 3.07 carats, platinum and 18k rose gold. Its estimate is on request.
