The historic building housing the new Boscolo Exedra Nice harks back to the last century, when, in 1913, M. Baumgartner, a famous Swiss hotelier, called the celebrated and renowned architect, Charles Dalmas (who also built the Carlton Hotel in Cannes) to design the building. Its original name was “Hotel du Rhin” and it was built in the style preferred by the major hoteliers of the time.

Located in the heart of the city and set in green surroundings, on the quiet main boulevard, the hotel was intentionally built far from the more popular lively areas, to cater for a wealthy middle-class clientele that preferred tranquil exclusivity to the crowds of the seafront promenade. The sumptuous classical façade in pure “Belle Époque” style and the opulent decor of its interiors, inspired by 18th century Rococo, immediately seduce those who seek elegance, charm and style first and foremost.

Now, after three years of large-scale refurbishment, the hotel has taken on a new identity and become the Boscolo Exedra Nice, the first luxury 5 star brand hotel in Nice. The building has kept its magnificent façade and all its interior decor, which has been painstakingly restored. The common areas and rooms have been refurbished to become symbols of a refined contemporary style. The hotel has thus confirmed its vocation as the number one destination in Nice for the more refined and exclusive guests, as it was in the past and will continue to be in the future.
